Tables & Barrel Seats

Barrel seats were one of the earliest styles of furniture developed in Northern China.
They often had windows in their sides so that they could be placed over small charcoal fires, for prolonged intellectual discussions late into the cold evenings. China was the first country to produce ceramic furniture.

The Crane table and barrels set raised money for the Crane Foundation USA, the Panda barrel for the WWF.

I have always made seats
ever since I started to use clay.

Made for commission only.
